  • Absolutely not. Products from Amanda Christer Wellbeing has been manufactured without causing any cruelty to animals.

  • HPMC - Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose - is derived from vegetable cellulose, these capsules contain no preservatives, gelatine, wheat, animal by-products or starch, and they are made from pure cellulose of either pine or poplar.

  • Aromatherapy is the use of plant oils known as essential oils for the treatment or prevention of disease.

Aromatherapy is a form of complementary therapy designed to treat the whole person and not just the symptom or disease by assisting the body's natural ability to balance, regulate, heal and maintain itself.

Essential oils consist of tiny aromatic molecules that are readily absorbed via the skin, and whilst breathing.

  • Our skin is somewhat permeable. The active chemicals in essential oils are absorbed just like the ingredients in common pharmaceuticals such as hormone replacement therapy cream and nicotine patches.

Different factors can affect the absorption of essential oils through the skin. If you massage the area first, it will increase circulation to that area, thereby causing an increase in absorption of essential oils. Heat will likewise increase circulation and thus enhance absorption which is why adding essential oils to a warm bath will increase absorption.

Some researchers report that essential oils may be more readily absorbed from skin locations with greater concentrations of sweat glands and hair follicles, such as the genitals, head, soles, palms, and armpits (Battaglia, 2003).

  • The olfactory system includes all physical organs or cells relating to, or contributing to, the sense of smell. When we inhale through the nose, airborne molecules interact with the olfactory organs and, almost immediately, the brain.

Molecules inhaled through the nose or mouth are also carried to the lungs and interact with the respiratory system. Thus, inhaled essential oils can affect the body through several systems and pathways.

During inhalation, odour molecules travel through the nose and affect the brain through a variety of receptor sites, one of which

is the limbic system, which is commonly referred to as the "emotional brain."

The limbic system is directly connected to those parts of the brain that control heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, memory, stress levels, and hormone balance (Higley & Higley, 1998). This relationship helps explain why smells often trigger emotions. Knowing this, we can hypothesize how inhalation of essentia oils can have some very profound physiological and psychological effects.

  • Aroma sticks are a practical, versatile and an effective way to inhale essential oils and keep a blend on your person, in your pocket or bag.

The Aroma Stick because is small, portable and is up to its owner when and how often they use it.

The nasal route (inhalation) gives rapid absorption of the essential oils which may be useful when a quick response is required.

To use an aroma stick inhaler, unscrew the cover and hold the inhaler under the nostrils. Breathe in slowly and deeply for a couple of breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth. Using little and often will be most effective.

  • Keep the inhaler closed tightly to allow the aroma to last as long as possible. How long it will last will depend on the essential oils used and how often you open it.

  • One capsule per bath is required. Each of the Amanda Christer bath capsules have been hand crafted for single use only.

  • Epsom Salt helps raise the magnesium and sulphate levels in your body, hence serving as a superb mineral supplement.

It relaxes the nervous system, alleviates aching limbs, relieves back and muscle pain and cramps, cures skin problems, treats congestions and colds, heals cuts and draws toxins from your body.

Magnesium and sulphate components enhance the production of insulin, which helps prevent diabetes or lessen its severity.

  • Epsom Salt is for external use only and not for consumption, and should be kept away from pets and children. In case of pregnancy or other health concerns, consult your physician first.

When using, avoid mixing it with soap as this can interfere with its proper working.
